Peptide documentation checklist
Keep the listing, the analytical report and the received label together when reviewing research material. This worksheet gives each record its own space so you can document a match, a difference or an unanswered question.
Download the blank worksheet
Download the peptide documentation worksheet (CSV) and open it in a spreadsheet. Use one copy for each material and lot. The file is blank: it contains no Aeterna BioLab test results, example measurements or supplier approvals.
Start with the records available before an order. Add the received-label details when the material arrives, keeping missing fields marked as unresolved. Keep a dated copy of the report with the completed worksheet.
Compare the material and lot
Record the product designation, selected size and any modification or salt form stated in each source. Copy the lot or batch identifier exactly. If the laboratory uses a separate sample number, record the evidence that connects it to the supplier lot.
Enter the report identifier, named issuer, sample dates and reporting date where provided. Record how you checked the report with its issuer and which questions still need an answer. A shared product name alone leaves the connection to a particular lot unresolved.
Keep each analytical result separate
Enter the method, result and unit for each reported test. Keep chromatographic purity, molecular mass and peptide content in separate rows. HPLC peak-area purity and net peptide content measure different properties, as explained in Bachem’s quality control guide.
For chromatographic results, record the detector and stated conditions when supplied. GenScript’s QC report guide describes the method information accompanying its HPLC and mass spectrometry reports. Leave a test marked as unreported when the documents provide no result for it.
Record the follow-up
Use the final columns to record the question, the person or organization asked, the response date and the supporting record. A difference between a label and report needs an explanation tied to that material. Preserve the original entries when adding a clarification so another reviewer can follow what changed.
This worksheet organizes documentation for research review. Completing it does not authenticate a report, test a material, approve a supplier or establish safety or suitability for human or veterinary use.
Ask about Aeterna BioLab documentation
For an Aeterna BioLab enquiry, include the product name, selected size and any lot or report reference. The testing documentation page explains how to request available records. Read the COA guide for help interpreting the analytical fields, or contact us about an unresolved detail.
Aeterna BioLab materials are for research use only and are not for human or veterinary use, therapeutic use or diagnostic purposes.
